JAMMU, Nov 9: POSHAN Project Kot Bhalwal launched the Poshan initiatives in collaboration with the Central Sanskrit University, Jammu.
Prof Madan Mohan Jha, Director Central Sanskrit University Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, ADDC Jammu, District Programme Officer Jammu Renu Kumari, Block Development Council Chairman Kuldeep Kumar and Sarpanch Kot Bhalwal Raj Dev Singh were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, POSHAN Tree was inaugurated and scheme pamphlets of the Department were launched. Under Poshan initiatives, the Central Sanskrit University Jammu agreed to adopt all the AWCs of POSHAN Project Kot Bhalwal to provide awareness and health education to pregnant women and maintenance of Poshan Vatikas in AWCs.
Around 52 Anganwadi Centres were voluntarily adopted by the various PRI Members, Private Institutions; NGOs wherein they took pledge to provide natures nutrition in the form of fruits and milk to ICDS beneficiaries on periodic basis. Mohit Bharti, CDPO POSHAN Kot Bhalwal highlighted the achievements under various ongoing schemes and presented vote of thanks.
