Porter injured in firing on LoC

JAMMU, Nov 28: A civilian porter, working with the Army, was injured in firing by a group of militants, which was trying to infiltrate inside the Indian territory in Sabjian sector of Poonch district this evening.
Official sources said a group of militants opened firing on the troops and tried to infiltrate into the Indian side at about 5 pm today. In the firing, a civilian porter identified as Rameez Raza, 22, son of Ghulam Din R/o Gagriyan was injured.
Troops opened firing to neutralize the militants.
Troops have sounded alert along the LoC to ensure that the militants didn’t manage to infiltrate into the Indian territory.
Searches would be conducted in the area tomorrow morning, sources said, adding that the injured civilian porter was evacuated from the site of firing and admitted in the hospital. His condition was stated to be stable.
