Porbandar residents’ warn bandh tomorrow, torch effigies of PM, JK CM

PORBANDAR, Feb 8: Hundreds of residents of Porbandar comprising of various social, business, religious and political organisations, besides the activists of APMCC today staged demonstration against J&K and Central governments and burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and J&K CM Omar Abdullah for their insensitiveness against Vinod Pandit who is on fast unto death for last 10 days here and threatened complete Porbandar Bandh and Rail Roko on Sunday.
The protesters led by King C Bharati, national spokesperson of APMCC, prominent leaders of Porbandar, ledeby Ram Dasa, Coordinator Porbandar besides Sunil Kumar Trakroo, Sandeep Bhat and Kunadan Kashmiri president KPC stopped the traffic raising slogans against J&K and Central governments.
Addressing the protesters King C Bharati said that the patience of APMCC was giving way to anger which was about to burst and warned the J&K and Central governments of dire consequences if anything happens to Vinod Pandit or immediate dialogue was not initiated with team APMCC at Porbandar. He also threatened that Porbandar residents have decided for complete Porbandar Bandh and Rail Roko on Sunday to press their demands.
Meanwhile KPC president Kundan Kashmiri, who joined team APMCC today at Porbandar for two day token hunger strike to show solidarity also addressed the protestors and demanded immediate dialogue with team APMCC.
