REASI, Feb 8: A minor girl was raped by two youth residing in her neighbourhood at Panasa village near Reasi last evening.
A police spokesman said the incident took place when the parents of 15-year old girl had gone to nearby village to attend a function. Shazia (fake name) and her younger sister were at home. Two youth from the same village barged into their house committed rape on the girl and escaped. The girl narrated the matter to her parents in the morning.
Her father Khazar Din along with daughter moved to Reasi police station and lodged an FIR No. 11/2013 against the accused persons. The girl was sent for medical examination to district hospital where doctors confirmed the offence.
The accused identified as Raj Mohd, son of Mohd Rafiq and Mohd Hussain, son of Abdul Ghani residents of Panasa were absconding. The police was conducting raids to nab the accused persons.
