SRINAGAR, June 3: Police along with the officials of the Revenue Department today destroyed poppy cultivation at Chogal Pora Manzgam area of district Kulgam.
A police party from Police Station Manzgam along with officials of the Revenue Department destroyed poppy cultivation spread over 17 kanals of land at Chogal Pora, police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.43/2021 under relevant sections of law, stands registered at Police Station Manzgam and the investigation has been initiated.
“General public of the area have appreciated the action of the Police and urged them to continue such drive in the nearby areas also,” police said.
