JAMMU, June 17: Prominent and intellectual Gujjar leader of J&K Shamsheer Hakla Poonchi urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to pass a bill in the ongoing session of Legislative Assembly to continue reservations in promotion of Government employees belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Classes and resident of backward area communities of State.
Hakla said that every sphere of life, reservation is the need of the hour and is a necessity for ST, SC and OBC.
He stated that in order to keep them with the employees belonging to ST, SC and OBC, their reservation for promotion is an essential requirement.
