Poonch youth nominated for South Asian Award

JAMMU, Oct 14: Internat-ional Youth Development Council (IYDC) has nominated Muzaffar Ahmed of village Sangla in Surankote, Poonch for prestigious ‘South Asian Youth Award-2019.
Muzaffar is one among 10 qualified youth awardees from South Asian countries and he will receive this award and represent India during ‘South Asian Youth Development Summit-2019’ from November, 2-5, 2019 at Kathmandu, Nepal.
South Asian Youth Award is given for excellence in development work and contribution of youth to develop a fair, sustainable, peaceful and prosperous future.
Recently, Muzaffar received ‘National Youth Icon Award-2019’ from International Youth Committee.
He is a student of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chennai and also Founder of ‘Public Peace and Development Foundation’, a youth led organization working for the health and education of conflict affected children and youth at LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
He also works as ‘Global Peace Ambassador-India’ with Global Peace Chain.
