Refer the photograph ‘Polluted Wullar Lake in Bandipora district DE Nov 6.
The photograph reveals the pathetic State of the lake it is in. This beautiful lake which is a pride possession of the State, and needs to be maintained on a regular basis.
Besides, it reveals that we are not sensitive towards our water bodies. Whether in Jammu or in Kashmir water bodies are in a State of neglect.
These are shrinking day by day.Unless we wake up to this reality, these water bodies are in a danger of losing their existence. It will give us a great blow to survival as most of the people depend on them for their day to day affairs.
The Government should involve all NGOs and people living in the surroundings to maintain them.
