Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Oct 24 Pradesh Congress JKPCC has said that poor performance of BJP in the elections to the BDCs inspite of no other major political party in the fray, it is clear signal that BJP cannot take the people of Jammu for-granted and they are fed up with the policies of BJP at grass root level.
Expressing great satisfaction over the performance of Congress party in Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly polls against all odds and in the wake of ruling BJP racking up issues of removal of ‘Article 370’ as well as ‘Surgical strike’ against Pakistan, PCC has said that people of those states has rejected the diversionary agenda of BJP. The BJP which had claimed to win more than 75 seats in Haryana and more than 200 seats in Maharashtra as compared to the recent Lok Sabha elections, the people have given clear indication that they cannot be taken for granted by BJP and the declining graph of the ruling party in the Centre and State.
Congratulating the independent candidates who gave a tough fight to the BJP in more of constituencies and not only defeated BJP candidates but attempts of BJP to sweep BDC elections by forcing opposition parties to stay away from the elections process, the PCC has said that the outcome of results in most of the BJP represented constituencies in the last Assembly elections including in the home constituency (Nowshera) of BJP State president. This has conveyed a loud and clear message that people cannot be taken for a ride by the BJP and people are disillusion with simple rhetoric and arrogance of BJP leaders. Party said that like in Haryana elections where most of the BJP ministers and prominent faces lost elections, people will teach BJP lesson in the forth coming elections in the State.
