Sir,
During elections whether Assembly or Parliamentary political parties of all hues make big promises with people of their constituencies.
They leave no stone unturned to lure voters with promises, money and freebies. Believing that these would fulfill these problems once they came to power, gullible voters cast their votes in their favour. Once elections are over, these representatives are nowhere seen.
They remain inaccessible to a common man whatsoever, he may do to plead his case before the representatives. These power hungry politicians then live in their own world enjoying power and pelf caring least for poor and downtrodden.
If BJP raises Art 370, Ram Mandir issue during elections, then why it remains mum after elections are over. Same is with other parties.
In this context, it is urged to Election Commission of India to take cognizance of the manifestoes and commitments of these parties. The party that fails to live upto expectations of people must be banned for atleast 10 years. Otherwise holding elections is a waste of tax payers money, and great injustice with the voters.
It may be mentioned here that political parties should not lure with freebies like laptops and smart phones. Rather they should strive for free education, health care, electricity and other essential items which fall in Government domain. People can purchase items like laptops, on their own, and as per their choice.
Hope, Election Commission may ponder over this matter of national interest.
Yours etc…
