JAMMU, Dec 12: Kashmiri Migrant over aged youth and relief holders staged a demonstration in front of Press Club here today and warned that no politicking will be allowed on their plight by the vested elements.
Warning those who give clean chit to Chief Minister and posing to be more loyal than the King they said that the employment issue can’t be linked to return and by providing jobs to few youth the problem of over seven lakh displaced people who were the victims of terrorism and secessionism will not end.
Lambasting these leaders the protestors questioned their wisdom of giving the certificate to Chief Minister who has failed to solve the problems of the migrants in general and over aged youth in particular during his five years rule.
Ravinder Kaul who led the protest asked these leaders not to create a confusion among the community by joining hands with the Government on the vital issue of community’s return to Valley. By given some hundred jobs to few families does not mean that the problems of genocide has ended, he added.
Kaul said that Government has failed to keep its promise on enhancement of cash relief, providing of loans or one time compensation to over aged youth to start their business establishments and registration and consideration of new born babies for relief by giving them equal benefit to which the other relief holders are entitled nor the people suffering from chronic diseases are being given the benefit of medicare scheme and the power supply has not improved at Jagti township.
He said the Government employees and pensioners who were given the APL cards on the payment of Rs 50 after 2010 were not given ration till date and the Kashmiri Hindu Temples and Shrines Bill is still pending.
He said the return plan under the garb of providing employment to few youth is a treachery with the community and the employment package under which 1500 youth were so far given jobs was announced by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in 2007 and no one should take credit for the same.
Others who addressed the protestors included Desh Rattan president AMCCC, Vimal Ji, Raja Ji, Kundan Raina, Bushan Lal Sundri Lal Koul, Sunil Fotedar and Inder Kaul.
