JAMMU, Mar 23: Various political and social organizations paid rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their death anniversary.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Federation paid rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj guru and Sukhdev. Manjit Singh Jatt, Chairman Shaheed Bhagat Singh Federation presided over the function, whereas Madan Lal Sharma, Member Parliament and NC-Congress alliance candidate for Jammu Poonch constituency was the chief guest. During the function several prominent people of the Jammu threw light on the history of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Portraits of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were garlanded.
Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation and Jewel Bazar Shopkeepers Association paid tributes to the martyrs of Indian freedom struggle namely Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. A free ayurvedic medical camp was organised at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk near Jewel in collaboration with Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine, in which patients suffering from various diseases were treated and free medicines were disbursed among them. Singers from noted group of Jammu sang patriotic songs. Atal Khajuria, Chairman, Kamal Raj Sharma, president, Kamal Gupta, general secretary, Surinder Kumar Gupta, Bansi Lal Gupta, besides many other prominent citizens attended the function. The free medical camp was organised under the leadership of Dr Ashok Sharma senior physician of ISM Department, whereas Dr Ruchi Gupta, Dr Monica Salaria, Dr Rita Dingra, Dr Rajneesh Singh, Ashok Kumar Naru senior Pharmacist, Ram Raj Sharma senior pharmacist and Rajinder Kumar extended their services.
National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) paid homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their martyr’s day at Jammu University. Nitin Bakhshi, president of NSUI Jammu University, Fairoz Khan, national secretary, NSUI, Neeraj Kundan, State president of NSUI, Prof Pankaj Srivastava Dean Student Welfare Jammu University threw light on the life and teachings of martyrs. Earlier, NSUI activists visited Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk near Jewel and paid homage to the Martyrs.
All India Students Federation (AISF) District Doda observed the death Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shiv Ram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar at Doda. AISF leaders along with students paid floral tributes to the martyrs. AISF president Mukesh Parihar highlighted the achievements of the Martyrs. Students presented colorful programme and sang patriotic songs.
National Secular Forum (NSF) organized a programme in Jammu University on the Martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. Dean Students Welfare, Prof Pankaj Shrivastava was the chief guest, who along with Dr Vishal Sharma, Dr MM Ansari, Sukhdev Singh, president NSF and Dr Vikas Sharma threw light on the life of martyrs, who laid down their lives for the sake of the nation.
Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC), a youth wing of Nationalist Congress Party, paid homage to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. NYC State president Gourav Kapoor along with Mithun Sharma, Arun Kapoor, Rohan, Varun Kumar and Manik Uppal, State president NSC highlighted the role of trio martyrs in the Indian freedom struggle.
Udhampur Development Council (UDC) organised a function and paid tributes to Indian freedom struggle martyrs namely Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukh Dev. Parvesh Parihar chaired the function, whereas Anil Paba presided over the function. Floral tributes were paid to the Bhagat singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev by the gathering.
Naujawan Sabha Bishnah paid rich tributes to the Martyrs–Saheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their death anniversary at Kabir Mandir Bishnah. MLA Bishnah Ashwani Sharma was the chief guest and Roop Lal Makhnotra, a social activist presided over the function. Floral tributes were paid to martyrs followed by silent prayer, lectures by various prominent persons of the area and patriotic poem recitations by local artists.
Lok Manch Jammu paid homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at Kalibari, district Samba, in which villagers, Panchayat representatives, teachers, students and Scholars from Jammu University garlanded their portraits. Dr OP Diwadi from JU along with Kumar Krishan Sharma, convener of Lok Manch threw light on the life, teaching and ideology of these martyrs. A kavi ghosthi was also organised in which Mohit Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Bhagwati Devi, Kuldeep Dogra, Swami Anterneerav, Kuldeep Kippi, Kamal Jeet Chowdhry, Kunwar Shakti Singh, Kumar Krishan Sharma recited their poems.
Balidan Divas of Martyrs Shaeed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru was held by Bhagat Singh Yadgar Committee, district Udhampur. A procession of procession was taken out, which started from Adarsh Colony and after passing throught various areas culminated at Adarsh Colony. The function was held under the presidentship of Luder Mani, president of the Committee.
Rehri-Ferhi Union also paid tributes to martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru by organizing a rally.
Rich tributes were paid to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev during a programme organized by Fruit and Vegetable Vendor’s Welfare Association, District Udhampur at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Udhampur. Large number of people along with members of the association paid floral tribute to martyrs.
Martyr day of Saheed Bahagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru was observed by Mohallah Welfare Committee at Shopping Centre Bakshi Nagar, in which large number of youth participated. Satish Sharma, president Youth Congress Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha was the chief guest, who while speaking threw light on the life and teachings of Martyrs.
On Martyr’s Day, Duggar Pradesh Party (DPP) organized a meeting and paid rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Uday Chand, president, DPP, Mohan Singh, secretary general, Inder Paul Singh, Varsha Kapoor, general secretaries, Kulveer Charak and Ram Singh Slathia, secretaries, Mangal Dass, Om Prakash Sharma, Girdhari Singh, ChoudharyJamal Khan and Ashok Jasrotia highlighted the role of these martyrs during Indian freedom struggle.
The activists from IDP, AAP, SDSS, Mahila Adhikar Sangthan and Youth Organization held impressive “Sardhanjali Samroh” to pay tributes to Saheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukh Dev at Kathua and Pathwal, Hiranagar. While addressing the gathering ID Khajuria, national president, IDP moved a resolution which unanimously resolved that Martyrs should recognized as National Martyrs and all Governments at centre and at State level should announce the days of their martyrdom as National days. Santosh Khajuria, Robin Sharma, Varinder Singh, SS Sambyal Advocate, Preeti Devi, BL Kandley, Master Raj Pal, Suresh were also present. Children presented cultural programme in the memory of Martyrs.
