JAMMU, Nov 30: Various political and social organizations condemned the terror attacks in Nagrota and Ramgarh.
Senior Congress Leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha strongly condemned the terror strike on Army base at Nagrota. “I pay my homage to the brave officers and soldiers who lost their lives in the attack. My heart goes out to their families and I pray that Almighty gives them strength to bear the irreparable loss” said Azad. He also urged the Central Government to take concrete steps to prevent such occurrence in future. He also expressed deep concern on increase in frequency of such attacks and incidents of firing along the border in last few months.
BJP Senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta strongly condemned the yesterday’s militant attack at Samba and Nagrota. He along with the citizens of Rajouri saluted the brave soldiers who were martyred during this attack. MLC Vibodh expressed strong anguish and grief over the loss of seven brave officers and soldiers of Indian Army.
The members of the Civil Society Jammu held a meeting under the chairmanship of former Minister Gulchain Singh Charak, President Dogra Sadar Sabha and Convener All Jammu Civil Society Forum to pay homage to the solders, who martyred at Nagrota yesterday. The members expressed concern over Pakistani infiltration, attack at Army unit at Nagrota and cross-border infiltration at Chamlyal, Samba district. The members condemned Pakistan’s cowardly act of terrorism.
Condemning terror attack at Army Camp Nagrota, Team Jammu paid tributes to the soldiers who attained martyrdom during the fierce fire-fight and demanded declaration of Pakistan as terrorist State. In a meeting of Team Jammu which was held under the leadership of its Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal paid tributes to the martyred soldiers and observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect for the martyrs. Members also prayed for early recovery of injured soldiers. Among others who spoke included Surinder Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar Sagar, Anil Kumar, Sachin Singh, Sunil Raipura, Pradeep Baloria, Vikas Gupta, Rajesh Chandan, Vicky Gupta, Rajesh Kapoor and Bobby Singh.
Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) paid floral tributes to Army personnel who sacrificed their lives for the sake of nation while on duty. The programme was organized at Dogra Shaurya Stambh Amphalla, here under the chairmanship of JKFFA President Ved Gandotra.

State Chief of All India Human Right Association, Sham Lal Bhagat, Rajiv Mahajan, State President Shri Ram Sena, Pritam Sharma, State President Kranti Dal, Raj Rattan Raina, State President AIHRA, Binny Mahajan, City President Shiv Sena Hindustan, Ram Rattan Raina, State President Sangram Sena and many others were present on the occasion.
J&K State Unit of All India Lawyers Union in a meeting held here, strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Army Unit in Nagrota and on BSF in Samba District. State Committee of AILU paid respectful homage to the officers and jawans of Indian Army who sacrificed their life for the sake of the country. Advocates MM Baru, Ashok Parihar, HC Jalmeria, BL Kalgotra, B.S. Manhas, Surinder Kour, Bansi Lal, Sheikh Shakil Sharma, Usman Slaria, BS Bhargav, Amrit Sarin, Surjit Andotra, Vilakshan Singh, Arvind Jalmeria, Amit Sharma, Chetna Manhas and Pushvinder Singh participated in the meeting.
VHP President Leela Karan Sharma while talking to reporters conveyed his heartfelt condolences to brave hearts who sacrificed their lives at Nagrota Army camp yesterday and wished speedy recovery of the security personnel injured at Chamliyal. He also prayed almighty God to grant peace to the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families. He expressed his anguish over two militant attacks at Nagrota Army Camp and Chamliyal in Samba district. Sharma asked the defence people to maintain the secrecy of the area in the highest order and keep eagle-eye over the activities taking place with full alertness. Shakti Dutt Sharma State Secretary, Subhash Gupta and Rakesh Sharma State Co-Convenor Bajrang Dal were also present in the press conference.
President, Jammu Wine Traders Association, Charanjit Singh condemned the terror attack at Nagrota and Ramgarh. He urged the Central Government to take concrete steps to prevent such occurrence in future. He paid tributes to the martyr soldiers and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held protest rally against Pakistan. Large number of people participated in the protest, which was led by JWAM President Sunil Dimple. The protesters burnt the effigies of the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief and Pakistan flags. Among others present were Sham Saroop, Harbans Tondon, Madan Lal, Ram Parkash Khajuria, Vipin Kumar, Mukesh, Vicky, etc.
Jammu Province People Forum held a meeting and condemned the Pak sponsored terror attacks on Army unit in Nagrota and BSF personnel at Chamalyal in Ramgarg. In a meeting chaired by the President Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj, members paid rich tributes to the martyred soldiers and expressed sympathies and solidarity with the bereaved families. Besides Working President MS Katoch, meeting was attended by Inderjeet Khajuria, Narayan Singh, Avinash Bhatia, ML Sharma, Resham Singh Jamwal, PR Singh Slathia, Prof ML Sharma, Balwan Singh, Ajit Singh Adyal, Rajinder Gupta, Suneeta Sharma and Kamla Sharma.
Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu held a meeting and condemned the resent attack of militants at Nagrota and Samba. The members of the society prayed for the martyred soldiers. Society urged the Central Government to come out with some concrete policy to curb the menace of Pak sponsored terrorism in the State of J&K which is very essential for restoration of peace in the State. Balwinder Singh Rinku, President, Advocate AS Khera, Chairman-cum-legal advisor, Ajay Mahajan, Senior Vice President, BS Tirthi, Vice President, Hardeep Singh, Vice-President, Sanjeev Talwar, General Secretary, Advocate Randeep Singh, Press Secretary, Raju Katyal, Secretary, Jatinder Kumar, Cashier, Satwant Singh, Spokesman and many others also expressed their views.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting at New Delhi condemned terror attack at Army camp Nagrota and paid rich tributes to the soldiers who attained martyrdom during the fierce gunfight with Pak terrorists. KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri appeal to the country leadership to take drastic action and declare Pakistan a rogue and terrorist country. Other KPC activists who also spoke were, Susheel Ji Bhat, SL Zutshi, Pran Nath Mattoo, RL Raina and Surinder Bhat.
Youth Civil Society Poonch under the chairmanship of Imtiaz Salaria held a protest to condemn attack on Army camp in Nagrota and Ramgarh areas where several soldiers attained martyrdom. Tariq Mughal, Harman Singh, Mohammad Saleem, Sher Khan, Emar Choudhary, Mohammad Amir Sheikh, Sunil Kumar, Mohit Sharma and Imran Ghani were also present on the occasion.
