SRINAGAR, Sept 21: Scores of political leaders, functionaries and activists from various political parties today joined the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference, terming the party’s roadmap, steadfastness and farsighted approach one of the major reasons for joining the party fold.
According to the party spokesman, the new entrants were welcomed by Peoples Conference president, Sajad Gani Lone who termed their joining yet another milestone towards making the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference a viable alternative in the political spectrum of the state and a formidable force to reckon with. The joining function was held at Sonwar in Srinagar.
The leaders and functionaries who joined JKPC are Sewak Singh retired SSP, Balvinder Singh (Trade Union leader), Mehar Singh, Gurmeet Singh (Social activist), Rakesh Kumar, Sher Singh, Kapoor Singh, Ramnik Singh, Amrik Singh, Swaran Singh, among several others.
Sewak Singh in his address on the occasion said that Peoples Conference is the only political outfit in Jammu and Kashmir that has a pragmatic vision towards getting the state out of the morass of uncertainty. He added that the party led by an able leadership of Sajad Gani Lone will scan new horizons with eager hope.
