Policy on career opportunities for youth tops my agenda: Vikram

JAMMU, Nov 20: Pointing out that framing of a concrete policy towards providing lucrative jobs and self employment for the youth tops his list of agenda, Congress candidate from Jammu East Assembly Segment, Vikram Malhotra today said that if voted to power, he would take up the issue in the Assembly and make the lawmakers work on a policy for the youth.
“I assure you that this will be a concrete step towards encouraging the youth towards self employment and joining corporate houses for careers besides Government sector jobs”, he added.
Maintaining that youth is the backbone of the society and stressing over the need to channelize the energy among the youth, Vikram said that no elected representatives from the constituency had ever worked in this direction.
He was addressing the people during an election campaign meeting held at Prem Nagar, here. On this occasion, Vikram also listened to the grievances of the locals and assured them that he will solve their problems, if voted to power or not.
He informed the masses about already carried out developmental works in the Jammu East constituency. He said that he was working actively in this constituency for the last four years and spent crores of rupees for the development in all the Wards. He appealed the electorates of Jammu East to vote in his favour.
He said Congress has always been and will remain also the only party that does not see Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir through different lenses. It is the only party with the leaders of secular mindset who see Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians as one and united force working towards development of the surroundings they live.,” Malhotra added.
