KATHUA, Apr 3: District police Kathua today recovered 50 liters of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kathua.
A team of Anti Drug Unit Kathua in its jurisdictional area near Chack Drab Khan Kathua apprehended one suspected person namely Som Raj, son of Roop Lal of Chack Drab Khan, tehsil Kathua.
On search, nearly 50 litres of illicit (desi) liquor was recovered from his illegal possession. The accused was arrested and the illicit liquor was seized.
A case vide FIR No 152/2021 U/S 48 (A) Excise Act was registered in the concerned Police Station and further investigation of the case is going on.
Later Kathua police also recovered 20 liters of illicit liquor and arrested the accused.
A police team of PS Kathua in its jurisdictional area near Chack Drab Khan, Kathua apprehended one suspected person namely Ashok Kumar, son of Rasal Chand of Chack Drab Khan tehsil and district Kathua.
On frisking, 20 liters of illicit liquor was recovered from his illegal possession. The accused was arrested and liquor was seized.
A case vide FIR No 153/2021 U/S 48 (A) Excise Act was registered in the concerned Police Station and further investigation was initiated.
