KATHUA, May 4: Continuing its drive to curb the activities of illegal mining within the district, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua seized three tractors along with trolleys indulged in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) of Lakhanpur at Basantpur.
Police said today a team of Police Post (PP) Basantpur led by IC PP Basantpur under the supervision of DySP DAR, Kathua and SHO PS Lakhanpur during naka checking duty in its jurisdictional area seized three tractors along with trolleys.
All the vehicles indulged in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
