KATHUA, Dec, 8: Acting against illegal mining within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today seized two dumpers and one Tractor along with trolley involved in illegal mining in the jurisdictional area of Police Station (PS) Basholi, Police Post (PP) Nagri and Police Post (PP) Ramkot.
A police team headed by Inspector, Rajinder Khajuria SHO PS Basholi during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area seized one dumper involved in illegal mining.
While in second instance police team headed by Sub Inspector (SI), Ravinder Singh in charge PP Nagri under the supervision of DySP Headquarter, Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area in Nagri also seized one dumper bearing Registration Number, JK08J-4649 driven by Vishal Punia, son of Balbir Singh of Padyari tehsil and district Kathua involved in illegal mining.
While in third instance police team headed by SI Sanjeet Kumar, in charge PP Ramkot under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Arvind Kumar during naka checking duty in its jurisdictional area at Ramkot seized one tractor along with trolley involved in illegal mining.
Meanwhile all the vehicles involved in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
