KATHUA, Nov 16: Continuing its drive to curb the activities of illegal mining within the district, Kathua Police seized two tractors along with trolleys indulged in illegal transportation of construction material in the Jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Billawar.
Police said a team headed by Sub Inspector (SI) Sanjeet Singh, in charge Police Post (PP) Ramkot under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Arvind Kumar during naka checking duty in its jurisdictional area seized two tractors along with trolleys bearing unknown Registration Numbers for carrying illegal mining material without any valid permission. Meanwhile both the vehicles indulged in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
