Police rescues bovines, arrests 2 persons

KATHUA, Nov 16: Kathua police has rescued two bovines and seized one vehicle (Mahindra Load Carrier) at Battal Chak, today.
Police said a team led by Sub Inspector, Arjun Singh in charge Police Post (PP) Marheen under the supervision of SDPO, Border, Pankaj Soodan and on the overall directives of SSP, Kathua, Romesh Kotwal during special Naka checking duty in its jurisdictional area at Battal Chak noticed one Mahindra Load Carrier bearing Registration Number, JK14H-1930 which was being driven by a person namely Tanveer Ahmed, son of Shamsi Din of Upper Thanu tehsil and district Udhampur along with his accomplice namely Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Isrial of Udhampur. During checking of the vehicle the police team rescued two bovines from the vehicle.
An instant case vide FIR No. 227/2022 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA has been registered at Police Station (PS) Rajbagh and further investigation is going on.
