UDHAMPUR, Nov 1: Police today rescued fifteen bovine animals, while, the smugglers fled from the spot in Kud area of the district.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Kud Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound load carrier (tralla) bearing registration number JK02AL-7095.
Noticing the naka, the smugglers fled from the spot leaving behind the vehicle, he said, adding, that during checking, police recovered 15 milch animals along with other goods from the vehicle.
A case FIR number 113/ 12 under Sections 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act, 179 MV Act has been registered at Kud Police Station and investigation started.
