Police rescues 10 bovine animals, seizes truck

KATHUA, Mar 18:  In continuation to drive launched against the bovine smugglers under the supervision of  Mohan Lal, Superintendent of Police Station Kathua, Nagri Police laid down a naka at link road Mai Chack and intercepted one truck bearing registration No. JK02AL-2595 which was coming from Ujh river towards link road Mai Chack.
On noticing the Police naka, driver of the truck managed to escape from the spot leaving behind the truck loaded with 10 bovine animals which were seized by the police party.
A case FIR No. 114/2014 u/s 188 RPC, 3/5 PC Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua and investigation has been set in motion. A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused driver.
