“The Pakistani terrorists are reportedly involved in some of the recent terror acts in Kishtwar including attacks on security forces and Village Defence Guards (VDGs),” the officials said.
Pictures of Saifullah, Farman, Adil and another terrorist, believed to be Basha, were made public through a poster in both Urdu and English released by Kishtwar Police today. They said these are not original names of the terrorists but they are operating in Kishtwar with these code names.
Police have requested the general public to share any information regarding the terrorists shown in the photographs. A reward of Rs 5 lakh for each terrorist will be given to anyone providing credible information about them, they said.
The identity of the informer will be kept confidential, police said.
Kishtwar and other districts were rocked by terror attacks last year as Pakistan-based terrorist handlers continued their efforts to spread militancy to peaceful areas of the Jammu region.
There have been reports that some foreign terrorists, mostly Pakistanis, have been operating in Kishtwar and Doda besides some other districts of the Jammu region and were involved in terror acts. Some of the terrorists have been killed in the operations by security forces.
Search operations are being conducted in many areas to neutralize the terrorists.
