Police produces challan in Sanaullah’s killing

JAMMU, July 1: Police today produced challan against a dismissed Army jawan in connection with the killing of Pakistani Sanaullah, who was done to death inside Kot Bhalwal Central Jail on May 3 in retaliation to the killing of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian prisoner.
Sarabjit was killed a day before the killing of Sanaullah in Kot Lakhpat Rai jail at Lahore.
Sanaullah son of Ashiq Hussain R/o Daluwali, Sialkot in Pakistan was facing life imprisonment in the jail for his involvement in militant activities. He was attacked by a dismissed Army jawan Vinod Kumar son of Mahitab Singh R/o Siku, Pouri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, who was also facing life imprisonment in the same jail.
Sanaullah had succumbed to his injuries at PGI Chandigarh few days after being injured.
Police had registered murder case against Vinod Kumar at Gharota police station.
Investigations in the case were conducted by Rajesh Kumar Sharma, SP Rural, Abdul Rouf Lone, DySP Headquarters, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SDPO Akhnoor and Inspector Jatinder Samyal, SHO Gharota.
