Police Pensioners Welfare Forum holds meet

DODA, May 13: Non-Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum held a meeting here under the chairmanship of its District President Yog Raj.
While speaking, Yog Raj said that the Finance Department sought clarification from the Director General of Police regarding the pay anomalies to retiree ASIs and HCs.
“We want to know about the time frame of the recently constituted third committee to look into the issue of the pay anomaly”, he demanded.
“The office of the DGP informed about the amount Rs 5,93,25,000 addressed to Principal Secretary Home Department J&K”, he said and demanded immediate release of the said amount in favour of retired ASIs and HCs.
He further stated that the charges levelled against DGP Dilbagh Singh are baseless, adding that some persons have tried to undermine the credibility of the DGP.
“DGP is an honest officer. During militancy he has done a commendable job. He has made reforms in the Police Welfare. Our pay anomaly report has been sent by him to Home Department. In the length of his service, he does not have any adverse remarks”, he added.
The meeting was attended by Ghulam Hassan Wani, Ghulam Hassain Butt, Uttam Singh Parihar, Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Abdul Razak Sheikh, Mohammad Amin Sheikh, Lakshmi Chand Katoch, Swami Raj Sharma, Abdul Rashid Butt and Ravinder Khajuria.
