MENDHAR, Feb 6: The police nabbed a drug- peddler and recovered some banned drugs from his possession at Bhimber Gali on Jammu-Poonch highway today.
Reports said on receiving a specific input, I/C BG Police Post, ASI Abdul Hamid alongwith SHO PS Gursai Sanjay Gupta laid a Naka at BG Chowk and intercepted a vehicle Figo bearing registration No. JK02AR- 0916 coming from Surankote side and moving towards Rajouri. During checking of the vehicle they found 28 tablets of Tpentadol along with injection syringes, weight measurer and other related items used for consumption of narcotics and drugs from the possession of driver namely Aqib Wani, son of Mohd Tariq, resident of Seri Ramban, at present Bhatindi in Jammu.
In this connection a case FIR No. 09/2019 has been registered u/s 6/13/18 DAC Act at Police Station Gursai.
