Police identifies 100 social media users for misuse

SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Police have identified around 100 social media users for misusing various social media platforms aimed creating law and order problems.
The head of Cyber Police in Kashmir, Tahir Ashraf, told Excelsior that they have identified 100 social media users who have misused the social media platform.
“We have identified 100 social media users and are in the process of identifying more for misuse of social media. They were disseminating fake and false news and anti-India propaganda aimed at disturbing law and order and promoting terrorism”, said Tahir.
“We have lodged FIR against them. Their profiles are under probe. We are investigating whether they are fake. We will take action against them after proper probe”, he said.
The Cyber Police Station Kashmir Zone Srinagar has registered a FIR against various social media users who defied the Government orders and misused the social media platforms.
