KATRA, Sept 8: Displaying honesty, Police at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan returned to a female pilgrim her purse containing Rs 5200 cash, which she had lost somewhere near Bhawan.
The purse along with cash was found by Sgct Rajinder Kumar of PCP Gouri Bhawan, during duty. In this regard, an announcement was flashed through JPCR Bhawan, by SHO Bhawan Rajesh Sharma, following which a pilgrim namely Meena Devi, wife of Bhola Sharma of West Bengal, appeared before Police Check Post Gouri Bhawan and reported about the missing of her purse.
Accordingly, the purse alongwith cash Rs 5200/- was handed over to her by Police at Gouri Bhawan after clarification of her ownership.
