REASI, Mar 29: Police foiled an attempt of timber smuggling and seized 12 wooden logs of pine tree in Pouni.
During intervening night, an information was received at Police Station Reasi that some persons were smuggling forest timber at village Sangar in Pouni tehsil. Acting swiftly, SDPO Reasi, Nikhil Gogna along with Police party reached on spot but the smugglers managed to flee leaving behind 12 logs of pine tree.
Police seized the timber and later handed it over to DFO Nowshera for further action.
