Kabul, Sep 10 (UNI) Police have discovered arms and ammunition including 21 pieces of assault rifles during a series of operations in parts of the Afghan capital Kabul over the past year and arrested 74 persons, said a statement of the Kabul police released on Sunday.
The contraband also included 83 stocks of pistols, 15 hand grenades, 130 shells of rocket-propelled grenades, 16 jammers and thousands of bullets, the statement said, adding that 74 individuals have been taken into custody over keeping the arms illegally.
