SAMBA, Apr 13: To track down the violators of lockdown in the area, SHO Samba, Suraj Pathania on the directives of SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak and Additional SP, Samba, Faisal Qureshi has constituted a motorcycle squad of police.
The Station House Officer, Samba, Suraj Pathania today on the directives of SSP and Additional SP of the district Samba constituted a motor cycle squad of police which will go to every street of Samba town and check whether the lock down is maintained in letter and spirit or not. It will take action against the violators in accordance with rules.
SHO Samba, Pathania said since the announcement of lockdown he continuously made appeals to the general public of the area to stay in their houses to stay safe, but some people are continuously violating the lockdown and come out from their houses and gather on the streets.
When police reaches them they fled inside the streets and police could not chase them as vehicles can’t enter the narrow lanes. Hence the motorcycle squad was constituted to track down such people.
He also said that the Samba police has ready a team of ten motorcyclists who will be moving on streets of the town to ensure that the lockdown is enforced in letter and spirit in the town.
