POONCH, July 7: A Selection Grade Constable (SGC) serving in Home department in Civil Secretariat, Srinagar was found dead in his vehicle in Mandi area of Poonch today.
The family sources said that SGC, Shamim Ahmed was on his way from Srinager to home in Mandi after attaining leave on Eid. He talked with family members last time when he was few kilometers away from home, but when he didn’t reached home for long, family started to look for him.
On reaching near main gate of Tehsil Complex Mandi, they saw his car parked and found him dead. The deceased was identified as Shamim Ahmed, son of Mohd Abdullah Sheikh, resident of Rajpura (Ward No 3) Tehsil Mandi.
The dead body was taken to Sub District Hospital Mandi, where legal formalities were conducted and later his body was handed over to family for last rites.
Police officials said that a case under 174 CrPC has been registered in Police Station Mandi in this connection but it is suspected that he died of heart attack.
