SRINAGAR, Oct 15: Police today arrested two persons in separate cases and recovered charas and 100 bottles of Rexcof in Mattan area of Anantnag district.
A Police spokesman said here that Anantnag Police recovered 600 gram of charas from the possession of Nazir Ahmad Teli, son of Abdul Gani resident of Nanil at Nanil, Anantnag. The accused was arrested and a case FIR number 102/2013 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act were registered against the accused.
Meanwhile, Mattan police on a tip off recovered 100 bottles of Rexcof from the possession of Shabir Ahmad Shah, son of Abdul Rashid resident of Sarnal at Paibugh, Anantnag, in the jurisdiction of police station Mattan.
The accused allegedly used to sell the prescription medicine among the youth in the area.
A case FIR number 103/2013 under Section 50 Excise Act registered against the accused and investigation has been started.
