SRINAGAR, Jan 20: Police today arrested an accomplice of a cop who deserted with four AK47 rifles from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Police today arrested 20 year old Gazi Fayaz Dar, who was missing along with Constable Shakoor Ahmad and another youth Aqib Bashir since January 13. An AK 47 rifle as well as 90 bullets were recovered from him. This was one of the rifles that Constable Shakoor had fled with from SDPO office in Bijbehara last week.
Police said Fayaz was held at Kundlan, his native village, from a cab.
