Police arrests 4 involved in theft case, recovers goods worth Rs 2 lakh

SAMBA, May 4: Samba police has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station (PS) Samba, arrested four accused and recovered stolen items worth rupees two lakh approximately from their possession.
Police said on May 2 a written complaint was lodged at Police Post (PP) Rakh Amb Talli of Police Station (PS) Samba by one Ankur Goyal, son of Rajinder Goyal presently living at Border Road Samba stating therein that some unknown persons have stolen Aluminium coils and other items from factory premises of M/S Alstrong Enterprise India Pvt. Ltd Phase II SIDCO Samba.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 128/2025 U/S 331(4)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
Police said during the course of investigation, a police team headed by in charge PP Rakh Amb Talli has rounded up three suspects who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the instant case. The arrested persons have been identified as Nikhil Katal, son of Balwan Singh of Channi Jassu tehsil and district Samba, Tarsem Lal, son of Kartar Chand of Garhban tehsil Akhnoor district Jammu and Sandeep Kumar, son of Som Raj of Sadoh Camp tehsil and district Samba.
During further interrogation, the accused persons disclosed the name of another person, a scrap dealer, namely Abhay Mahajan, son of Neelam Kumar Gupta of Samba who was the receiver of the stolen property. Accordingly, police arrested the scrap dealer and recovered the stolen items.
Further investigation of the case is going on. The recovery has been made under the supervision of SHO, PS Samba, DySP Hqrs Samba and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
