SAMBA, Nov, 20: Samba police arrested two wallet snatchers within 24 hours and recovered stolen wallet containing cash and ATM cards in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana.
Police said yesterday a written complaint was lodged at PS Bari-Brahmana by a resident of district Kathua stating therein that two unknown persons have snatched his wallet containing cash and two ATM cards, etc. near SIDCO Chowk, Bari-Brahmana.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR No. 215/2022 U/S 382 IPC was registered at PS Bari-Brahmana and investigation started.
Accordingly, a police team of PS Bari-Brahmana after arduous efforts succeeded in the arrest of two accused persons namely Arif Ahmed Dar, son of Habib Ullah Dar of Parimpora district Srinagar and Vikas Chouhan, son of Kaka Ram of Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
On the disclosure of accused persons, stolen wallet having cash and two ATM cards were recovered. Further investigation is going on.
