JAMMU, Mar 12: In its continuous drive against narcotics and drug smuggling, a Police team headed by S I Rajeshwar Singh, SHO P/S Vijaypur under the supervision of S. S. Sambyal, DySP SDPO Vijaypur, today arrested two drug smugglers and recovered two kgs of Poppy straw (Bhukki) from them.
A police team intercepted a Maruti Car bearing Registration No. JK02AL-7420 at Swankha Morh Vijaypur and nabbed two persons namely Sukhjinder Singh S/o Santokh Singh, Ronak Singh S/o Rattan Singh, Both residents of Tanda Burj Supwal. The Police during search recovered two Kgs of Poppy Straw (Bhukki) from the car.
A case FIR No. 24/2015 U/S 8/15/60 NDPS Act Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
Police said that both the accused persons used the name of Press and pasted a sticker “press” on the front mirror of the said Car to dupe the Police.
