Police arrested 4 players for playing Pak anthem before match in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Police arrested four players and is looking for others for playing Pakistan anthem before a local cricket match in north Kashmir district of Badipora, official sources said here on Sunday.
They said a cricket match was played between two local teams at Arin, Bandipora. However, before the match both the teams lined up and Pak anthem was played.
A video about the Pak anthem before the match went viral on social media. It was not immediately clear whether the video was original or doctored, they said.
Police has registered an FIR under section 13 of the unlawful activities and initiated proceedings, they said adding four players have been arrested so far.
Similar incidents have also been reported in the past also when police arrested players in the Valley. (AGENCIES)
