Srinagar, Aug 25: Police today arrested six gamblers and recovered stake money from the gambling spot in Sheeri area of Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said that acting on specific information, police raided a gambling spot in Hajibal area of Sheeri and arrested six gamblers who were identified as Abdul Ahad Tantary, Ghulam Nabi Gojri, Mohammad Sikander Malla, Javaid Ahmad Parra, Showkat Ahmad Ganie and Reyaz Ahmad Sofi.
“Stake money of Rs. 25,500 was recovered from the gambling spot. A case under FIR number 33/2017 under Section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
