Srinagar, July 25: Police today said it have arrested six gamblers and recovered stake money from the gambling site here in summer capital.
A police spokesman said that acting on a tip off, police raided a gambling place and arrested six people while gambling. “They were identified as Fayaz Ahmad Wangoo Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Shahid Ahmad Bhat, Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Muhammad Reyaz Badoo and Bashir Ahmad Bhat,” he said.
The spokesman said that stake money of Rs. 8030 was recovered from the gambling site. “Police have registered a case FIR number 72/17 under section 13 Gambling Act and investigations has been taken up,” he added.
