JAMMU, Apr 6: “Congress had never conceived of the development which has taken place in Jammu and Kashmir in last five years. I appeal people to vote for BJP and ensure that the state sees four times more development in the next five years,” said former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, at a public meeting at Gandhi Nagar in Jammu Poonch LS Constituency.
“We have set ourselves a target of winning 4 seats this time from state, and Jammu Poonch Seat is one of them,” Gupta said, seeking votes for BJP candidate Jugal Kishore Sharma.
The BJP Government introduced several initiatives for uplift of the poor and the tribal communities, he said. Every citizen of the country is well aware about the achievements of Modi Government.
He said every needy person in the country has been benefitted with at least one of the welfare scheme launched by our Government at Centre.
The vision of Prime Minister Modi has no match from the leaders from our opposition.
He lambasted Congress and said that former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is star campaigner for the Jammu seats and people have witnessed a negative campaign from his side also. He said Azad should reply to the people of State that why they accepted the support from Omar Abdullah who is the supporter of autonomy and the pro Pakistan PDP. Congress should reply to the voters of Jammu.
He said Congress being oldest political party of the country is in such a situation that they are not fielding their candidates at 40 percent of the loksabha seats. He said in Jammu people will teach them a lesson for polarising the voters. Congress always believes in the dividing the people on communal and regional lines.
He also quoted a video of wife of congress candidate from Jammu Poonch, in which she is seen seeking votes on communal lines from a particular religion, and this is actual face of Congress, he said.
“Polarisation on religious lines can threaten India’s unity” quoted Gupta. Now a day everyone is educated enough to use his/her vote judicially and am sure that public will vote for the development they have witnessed in the field of infrastructure, Health sector, education and other welfare schemes launched for the upliftment of general masses during last five years, he added.
Later, Gupta addressed five more public meetings in Rajiv Nagar, Chhanni, Gangyal, Kunjwani, ApnaVihar, Sanjay Nagar and Digiana areas in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment to seek votes for Jugal Kishore Sharma in the upcoming April 11th LS polls in 1st phase.
Prominent among others who addressed the meetings were Baldev Billawria, Vinay Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Councillors, Surjeet Choudhary, Ajay Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Nayan Gupta.
