PoK villager washed away, body recovered

POONCH, July 30: The body of a suspected villager from Pak occupied Kashmir was recovered from a nallah near Betar village close to the Line of Control this morning.
Reports said that there was heavy rain in the area last night and the body of the villager had been washed away in the flooded nallah. A villager noticed it near Betar in Poonch and informed locals. The police also reached there. His identity could not be established. It was later discovered that it belonged to a PoK native and it had been washed away and entered into the Indian side. He appeared to be in the age group of 50-55 years.
The police shifted the body to District Hospital Poonch and kept in the mortuary for identification. A message was also flashed on that side of the LoC by the district authorities through hot line.
