PoK displaced people warn Govt to intensify struggle

JAMMU, June 11: PoK Displaced People’s Front today asked the Government to redress their issues before August 15, otherwise the front will intensify its struggle.
This was disclosed by Yudhvir Singh Chib, President of the front during a press conference here today.
Chib alleged that the Government is not considering the demands of the non camps displaced persons of the year 1947, 1965 and 1971, thus compelling them to intensify their struggle.
As the election in the State is going to be held in 2014, the affected families are waiting for the redressal of their demands by the Government”, he added.
“If the demands of the non camps displaced persons were not solved by the Government before August 15, then the front will intensify its agitation”, he warned.
Chib also added that the rally, which was scheduled to be held on June 25, will now held on June 24 at DC Office and a memorandum will be submitted to the DC pertaining to their demands.
He said that the front has expelled its general secretary Rashpal Singh for his anti-front working and asked him to hand over all the records of the office forthwith otherwise a disciplinary action will be initiated against him.
“The front has opened its office at Udheywala, which will function from 9 am to 4 pm every Friday”, he informed.
Among others present were Jaipal Sharma, Kulbir Singh Chib, Sukhjinder Singh, Skandaya Devi, Rashpal Singh Chib, Bachno Devi and Balwan Singh.
