PoJK Visthapit Samiti organizes seminar on empowering DPs

JAMMU, Feb 22: The PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti organized a seminar on the subject- `Empowering displaced families from Pak occupied Jammu and Kashmir’.
The programme was held at Kotli Colony, Rehari Colony in Jammu, It brought together esteemed guests, dignitaries, and enthusiastic participants in a gathering dedicated to empowerment.
The seminar commenced with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, marking the beginning of an evening filled with enlightenment and empowerment. Arun Chowdhary, general secretary of PoJk Visthapit Sewa Samiti, welcomed the guests, creating a platform for an enriching exchange of ideas and insights. Dr Gautam Mengi, Sanghchalak Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Jammu Kashmir, graced the occasion, providing invaluable guidance and leadership throughout the event.
The highlight of the seminar was the enlightening presentation by Prof Dr Bharati Gupta from Central University Jammu. Dr Gupta shed light on the atrocities committed by the Pakistani Army on Hindu and Sikh families in 1947, presenting compelling insights through a powerful presentation. Dr Deepak Kapoor, president of PoJK Vistpsthik Sewa Samiti, urged the gathering to take a solemn pledge towards the cause:
“Pak occupied Jammu Kashmir was, is, and will be an integral part of India, and the entire gathering requested PM and Home Minister of Bharat (India) to get the PoJK vacated immediately and send us back to our Matribhoomi,” he asserted,
Throughout the seminar, crucial action items were identified in collaboration with the speakers to address the pressing issues faced by displaced families. The committee emphasized advocacy efforts to ensure the voices of displaced families resonate at regional and national levels.
An interactive question-and-answer session facilitated engaging discussions between the audience and the speakers, offering deeper insights into the committee’s objectives and initiatives.
