PNB organizes Financial Literacy-cum-Digital Banking Camp

JAMMU, Dec 23: A Financial Literacy-cum-Digital Banking Camp was organized at village Kalyan Pur Jhiri area under Block Marh.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Bikram Singh Raina, DGM, Circle Head, PNB, J&K Circle, wherein large number of farmers, women and ex-servicemen took part.
Kali Dass, Financial Literacy Counsellor, PNB made the gathering aware regarding Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PMSBY, PMJJBY,  PM Atal Pension Yojana and seeding of Aadhar cards in their accounts, digital banking products like Debit card, UPI App, bank wallets and benefits of net banking.
SL Sarangal, Branch Head PNB Shama Chak explained in detail about the products, deposit and advances and requested the participants to visit their branch without any hindrance for their banking needs.
VR Sharma, Chief LDM SBI Jammu also guided the participants about the different schemes of GOI and KCC Scheme in particular and asked them for timely repayment to avail the benefit of 4 per cent rate of interest.
Sheetal, faculty at RSETI-SBI Bantalab, Mangal Singh, AO of PNB and Vikram Katryal, JAEO also expressed their views.
Babu Ram Choudhary, Tehsildar Marh was the chief guest on the occasion, who listened to the demand of the farmers for the hassle free issuance of Nakal Jamabandi/Revenue Record for availing the KCC loan facility from the banks. He assured that he has already instructed his field staff for the timely issuance of the record to the farmers. He also counseled the participants to shun bad habits in their life and open accounts in the banks to save their hard earned money for future use.
