JAMMU, Sept 18: Punjab National Bank (PNB), Domana organized a mega financial literacy camp at Village Pakhian in Mishriwala area of Jammu.
This FALC camp which is a part of ongoing campaign of spreading awareness by PNB with the assistance of NABARD and RBI among people of unbanked and backward areas was attended by residents of Pakhian, Pandorian and Mishriwala.
Arun Gupta, Senior Manager, PNB Domana, in his address appraised the gathering about the benefits of banks and banking sector with emphasis on various Government sponsored loan schemes like PMEGP, KCC, DRI, Mudra, Stand Up India and other loans offered by the PNB like
Education loan, Housing loan, Conveyance loan and different Agriculture loans.
Gupta also highlighted the benefits of various social security schemes under Financial Inclusion Programme launched by Government of India such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) to provide social security in terms of life and accidental insurance to the beneficiaries.
Kali Dass in his address explained the benefits of RuPay card issued under PMJDY with an inbuilt insurance cover and shared detailed information about Ladli Beti, AASRA and Sukanya scheme with the public.
Arun Jaral, JAEO, Agriculture Department, in his address told the public about the benefits of KCC, Farmers Club Programme, Pradhan Mantri Fas Bima Yojna besides different agriculture activities under State and Central sponsored schemes. He urged the farmers and residents of the area to take full benefits of such Government schemes to uplift their standard of life.
Mangal Kudada, Agriculture Officer, gave a detailed information about the various agriculture and other allied activities schemes for the benefit of rural people and poor farmers.
