JAMMU, May 23: An awareness camp on financial and digital literacy, was organized at village Gajay Singh Pura (Nagbani) under block Marh in district Jammu on today under the guidance of Bikram Singh Raina, DGM-Circle Head, PNB, J&K Circle.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Ajay Grover, Branch Head PNB Nagbani, About 80 farmers/ small shopkeepers/ labourers including ladies took part in the camp who were made aware by Kali Dass, Financial Literacy Counsellor, PNB regarding digital products of the bank. BHIM app (UPI) and *99# (USSD) was explained in detail to the participants. The benefits of less cash economy were also explained in detail. Social security schemes like PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY were explained in detail.
The focus of the programme was on KYC, Mudra Loans, Exercising credit discipline, grievances redressal and going digital (UPI Bhim and *99# and social security schemes.
Ajay Grover, Branch Head explained in detail to the participants, the products, deposit and advances in general and KCC in particular and requested the participants to visit their branch without any hindrance for their all banking needs under one roof.
Dev Raj, Ex-Sarpanch was the chief guest, who also advised and requested the participants to open their accounts in the banks for Direct Benefit Transfer of schemes launched by the Central Govt for the common masses by getting their Aadhaar seeded in their accounts.
