PNB opens new branch at Kotli Arjun Singh

JAMMU, Nov 20: Punjab National Bank (PNB) opened its new branch at Kotli Arjun Singh, RS Pura today.
The branch was inaugurated by Mohammad Latif Mir, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations who was accompanied by Jagjit Singh Azrot, Sarpanch of Kotli Arjun Singh Panchyat.
Speaking at the inauguration function, Mir said that large population of the country is out of the reach to banking services. The initiative of PNB is to reach out to that unbanked sections as part of its social responsibility, but also as a ”holistic approach” towards providing basic banking facilities to the people in all corners of the country through Financial Inclusion.
Mir further informed that the new branch located in the border town of RS Pura will provide unmatched techno-driven services like ATM cum Debit Card, Anytime Anywhere Banking and Net Banking facility to customers as most of them are NRIs and ex-servicemen.
The branch will also provide credit facilities to the people engaged in agricultural and allied activities as per their requirements, he added. Moreover the branch will address the day to day banking needs of the people and will help all needy persons engaged in micro activities of the area, Mr. Mir informed.
Jagjit Singh Azrot said that the branch will be great help to the people who intend to open their accounts. He requested villagers to avail various facilities from the bank.
Harnek Singh AGM Circle Office, SS Chib, District Coordinator PNB, Hari Krishan, Manager BO Kotli Arjun Singh, Malkeet Singh, General Secretary, All J&K Punjab National Bank Staff Union with large number of villagers and staff members of the bank were present on the occasion.
