JAMMU, Nov 20: City police today arrested a member of fake gun license gang, which use to provide arms licenses to the notorious criminals and history sheeters in lieu of hefty amount.
As per police sources, following the disclosures of arrested notorious criminal Deepak Dogra alias Minta Langda of Mast Garh by City police yesterday, one of the member of the fake gun license gang was arrested today.
The identity of the arrested gang member has been established as Bunty Kumar.
Sources said that the gang used to provide fake arms licenses to the notorious criminals and history sheeters in lieu of hefty amounts.
The fake arms license, which was recovered from Deepak Dogra has also been provided to him by Bunty.
More arrests are likely to be made in near future as raids and questioning of several persons was on till late night to arrest the kingpin of the gang and to ascertain the names of the criminals, who were in possession of fake arms licenses.
It may be mentioned here that Minta Langda, son of Rattan Lal Dogra of Mastgarh was arrested by City police yesterday and fake arms license of Home department along with a revolver and live cartridges were recovered from him.
