JAMMU, Jan 31: Bharatiya Gujjar Mahasabha (BGM) has expressed hope that the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will pave a new way for the development of Gujjar and Bakerwal communities of the State.
In a statement, Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, president, BGM said that the PM during his visit will address the long pending issues of Gujjars and Bakerwals of the State like political reservation and implementation of Tribal Sub Plan.
Poswal said that Gujjars and Bakerwals have not been given political reservation in J&K like in other States.
“We demands political reservation and hope that PM will address the issue”, Poswal added.
